The location was very walkable, with plenty of things nearby and easy access to the metro. The main downside was the Wi-Fi. the signal was quite poor and unreliable, so I had to work from another location.

You are right by Gran Vía, Madrid’s grand avenue: theatres and musicals, cinemas, flagship stores, rooftop bars with views and some of the city’s liveliest restaurants. Puerta del Sol, Callao, Chueca and Malasaña are a few minutes’ walk away.

Callao (lines 3 and 5) metro is a 1-minute walk; Santo Domingo (line 2, 3 min) and Gran Vía (lines 1 and 5, 6 min) are also very close. Bus stops are one minute away (Santo Domingo, Callao and Gran Vía – Callao), with routes into the centre.
To get to the airport, take Cercanías line C-1 from Atocha or Recoletos, metro line 8 from Nuevos Ministerios or the Airport Express bus from Atocha.
