La Latina is old-school Madrid: Cava Baja and its tapas taverns, the Basilica of San Francisco el Grande, Las Vistillas with views of the mountains, Plaza de la Paja and, on Sundays, the Rastro flea market. Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace are a few minutes on foot, and Madrid Río a short stroll.
It is a lively neighbourhood with a village soul, the kind that makes you feel like a Madrileño from your very first stroll, with the city’s best tapas scene always close by.

In 2 minutes on foot you are at La Latina (line 5) metro, and Tirso de Molina (line 1, 6 min) and Puerta de Toledo (line 5, 7 min) are also close by. Buses stop one minute away, at Cascorro, La Latina and Toledo – La Paloma.
To get to the airport, take Cercanías line C-1 from Atocha or Recoletos, metro line 8 from Nuevos Ministerios or the Airport Express bus from Atocha.

Nel complesso è stato un buon soggiorno. Per una persona sola e per tre notti lo spazio è sufficiente. L’appartamento era pulito e luminoso. Accedere alla zona notte necessita agilità ma per me che ho 28 anni non è stato un problema. Potrebbe esserlo per altri e per soggiorni più lunghi. L’unico consiglio che mi sento di dare è di incrementare un po’ la privacy dell’appartamento. La disposizione delle finestre lo rende molto esposto. Nell’insieme comunque un buon soggiorno. La zona La Latina merita.
