Our flight to Madrid was cancelled and rescheduled to arrive the next day. Jose stayed in contact the entire time and allowed us to meet someone at the Airbnb around our new arrival time. The place is in an old area so you get a real neighborhood feel, but it’s also a close walk to Sol and the city center. Jose provided a baby bed which was extremely helpful as well. We really enjoyed staying here.

This is where it all begins: Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the shopping streets of Preciados and Arenal are around the corner, and within a few minutes’ walk you reach the Royal Palace, the Literary Quarter or the Prado Museum. It is the centre with all the best of the centre: chocolate and churros at San Ginés, theatres, markets and life day and night.

Jose’s place worked out perfectly for our three-day stay in Madrid. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The location was great for us to easily walk everywhere, and very quiet at night. We also appreciated the crib set up and ready for us and the great air conditioning.
