Living by Gran Vía means having all of Madrid at hand. In the morning, the metro on the corner gets you to the office or to class; in the evening, a musical, a rooftop with views or a stroll through Malasaña and Chueca, which start two streets away. Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace and Retiro Park are a short walk, and you will never have to think twice about where to have dinner.
The nearest station is Callao (lines 3 and 5), 3 minutes on foot. Within a few minutes you also reach Gran Vía (lines 1 and 5, 3 min) and Sol (lines 1, 2 and 3, plus Cercanías trains, 5 min). If you prefer the bus, there are stops one minute away: Gran Vía – Callao, Metro Gran Vía and Gran Vía – Montera.
To get to the airport, take Cercanías line C-1 from Atocha or Recoletos, metro line 8 from Nuevos Ministerios or the Airport Express bus from Atocha.

It was overall good, not as clean as we had hoped as the sheets we were provided for the sofa bed were stained with brown stains which really put us off the overall cleanliness of the place
