Great location. All important places, museums and historical places are walking distance and the Metro stations are very close by. When I come back to Madrid will definitely try to book this apartment again.

You live at Spain’s kilometre zero: Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Calle Preciados and Gran Vía are a short walk away, as are the Royal Palace, the Teatro Real and the Literary Quarter. This is the Madrid of theatres, shops, chocolate cafés and traditional taverns.
From here, all of Madrid is within reach: you can walk almost anywhere and, when you can’t, the metro is on the corner. And when you get home, the city is still alive all around you.

Sol (lines 1, 2 and 3, plus Cercanías trains) metro is a 2-minute walk; Gran Vía (lines 1 and 5, 4 min) and Sevilla (line 2, 4 min) are also very close. Bus stops are 4 minutes away (Canalejas, Metro Gran Vía and Gran Vía – Montera), with routes into the centre.
To get to the airport, take Cercanías line C-1 from Atocha or Recoletos, metro line 8 from Nuevos Ministerios or the Airport Express bus from Atocha.

Went last minute to Madrid to see Shakira and Ruwen was very kind letting us check in early than usual. Right next to estacion del sol which was very convenient. It was comfortable for our group of 5 but I can see how for some people it may feel small. The place was clean which I appreciate. There is an elevator, but you need to go up some stairs to get to it. It wasnt an inconvenience for us, but just in case this is important for some people. We would stay here again.
