You are right by Gran Vía, Madrid’s grand avenue: theatres and musicals, cinemas, flagship stores, rooftop bars with views and some of the city’s liveliest restaurants. Puerta del Sol, Callao, Chueca and Malasaña are a few minutes’ walk away.

Gran Vía (lines 1 and 5) metro is a 1-minute walk; Sevilla (line 2, 5 min) and Callao (lines 3 and 5, 6 min) are also very close. Bus stops are one minute away (Gran Vía – Montera, Metro Gran Vía and Hortaleza), with routes into the centre.
To get to the airport, take Cercanías line C-1 from Atocha or Recoletos, metro line 8 from Nuevos Ministerios or the Airport Express bus from Atocha.

Great location in the middle of the central district and close to a metro station and taxis. Apartment was a described, clean and comfortable. Bed was great. I would definitely return if we visit Madrid again.
